Aviation pioneer Amelia Earhart poses in front of her plane in this vintage 5x8.5" photograph taken from the renowned Brown Brothers archive. The first female pilot to fly across the Atlantic is the model of the American spirit in this terrific image, which has some damage to the corners but is otherwise in great condition. The reverse identifies the aviator with her surname of Putnam, as she married six years before having disappeared in flight. PSA Type I encapsulated.
