Important Babe Ruth photograph, used for his 1933 Goudey #53, #144, & #149 cards. Images used for baseball cards are highly valued and this one is outstanding, though it is a later-issued 1940s example that was made off a duplicate negative. Regardless, this 7.5x9.5" gem depicts The Bambino posed in follow-through of his majestic swing with what appears to be a full house in the crowd behind him. The original was taken in 1927 by noted photographer Charles Conlon, only adding to the stature of this piece. Some minor creasing does not affect presentation, verso bears pencil notations along with Brown Brothers stamps, as this comes from the famed photo archivists. PSA LOA included, encapsulated. Note: The card pictured online does not come with the lot.
