Christy Mathewson had an astounding 13 seasons of 20 wins or more and is shown displaying that Hall of Fame form in this circa 1910s photo. Posed shot has the right-hander with pitching arm coming forward, holding ball while staring at the camera. Measures 6.25x4.5", excellent condition with small crease at top and very minor chip to bottom edge. Verso has C. Mathewson in pencil along with Brown Brothers stamps, as this image belongs to their extensive photo archive. PSA Type I encapsulated.
