The Capitals selected Olaf Kolzig in the 1989 NHL Entry Draft and he played his first NHL game in the 1989–90 season. In 2000, he won the Vezina Trophy as the NHL's best goalie after going 41–20–11 with a 2.24 GAA and five shutouts. From his days in Washington comes this blue CCM “Goalie Style” jersey. This all original 1997-98 jersey is complete with manufacturers tagging in the collar and Cutting Edge Sports Set #1 1997-98 tag sewn in the tail. Large Capitals logo is found on the front above “CAPITALS” as well as both shoulders. “37” is sewn onto both arms and just below the “KOLZIG” nameplate on the back; all in white/black/tan tackle twill. Shows nice use with plenty of stick/puck marks, pilling, team repair and a few unrepaired cuts and burns.
