Picking up where Andy Russell left off, Robin Cole replaced Russell at right outside linebacker and quickly added two Super Bowls to his resume. Cole was taken by the Steelers in the first round of the 1977 draft, the first ever Round 1 pick out of the University of New Mexico, and played 11 seasons in Pittsburgh. His best year in the Steel City came in 1984, when he was a Pro Bowler.
1984 Pro Bowl jersey is all original and still features its Medalist Sand-Knit size “5”0 tag on the front tail, “AMERICAN - 56” across the chest and “COLE-56” on the back; all in heat pressed red. As to be expected with Pro Bowl uniforms, use is light but still present. Originally sourced from Cole directly and has been signed and inscribed “SB XIII –XIV” on the back in black.
