Offered is an incredible collection of mostly extremely rare programs featuring the legendary racehorse, Native Dancer. The great thoroughbred won every race except for the Kentucky Derby, by a diminishing head at the wire. Four of the programs have no writing and are in pristine condition. They are from 1953: 1) The Gotham. 2) Kentucky Derby. 3) The Withers. 4) The Arlington Classic. The others have little or no writing and are in Excellent + to NM condition, from 1952: 5) Saratoga Special. 6) Grand Union Stakes. 7) The Hopeful. From 1953 are: 8) Wood Memorial. 9) Travers. 10) American Derby, the only time Arcaro substituted for Eric Guerin. 11) the Metropolitan Handicap. 12) 1954 Oneonta Stakes at Saratoga, rounds out the lot and most are quite difficult to obtain.
