FAILED PSA BECKETT JSA

reword from when we previously sold:

One of the real JFK baseballs ever to hit the auction block, this one has provenance as well. The remarkable story behind this 1961-62 game used Joe Cronin AL baseball includes the fact that catcher Rollie Hemsley was shrewd enough to pick it up in D.C. and obtain the signature of the 35th President Of The United States. Simple and direct inscription on a side panel “For Rollie, John Kennedy”. It shows game use so it is likely that it is also the ball he threw out for the first pitch! This JFK signed ball from the Rollie Hemsley Collection, is a very rare opportunity to acquire the signature of perhaps one of the most revered sports fans ever to occupy the White House. JFK’s writing and autograph is a solid 8/10 overall, with a few minor spots nearby, but not touching. A rare AUTHENTIC John F. Kennedy single signed ball, fresh to the hobby. For provenance purposes this lot will include ephemera from the estate of Rollie Hemsley. The ephemera include newspaper clippings from his career and obituary plus a few vintage photographs. Two of the photos are of supreme interest. The first being a cardboard mounted baby photo and the second a George Burke photo of Hemsley inscribed “To Mother.”
