Complete set of N73 Duke Cigarettes “Fancy Dress Ball Costumes” cards (50), produced in 1889. Very sharp-looking set, though half the cards have some back damage or slight chipping. Aside from that, cards grade 25% EX-MT, 30% EX, 40% VG and 5% lesser, and overall present in EX or better condition. Cards were issued with Duke's Cigarettes, and each features a beautiful colorful lithograph of a woman dressed in fancy Victorian attire, with the back of each featuring a set checklist. An extremely attractive and unusual set, rarely offered in complete form.
