It is believed that Ted Williams wore this vintage Red Sox cap during his final season of 1960, as the vintage Tim McAuliffe label would seem to indicate. Features The Splendid Splinter's number 9 in vintage marker under the brim, as well as thumb prints comprised of residue from the substance Williams famously applied to his bats. The band is loose, there is a crack on the brim and the tag is partially detached, but that hardly detracts from this stunning, historic artifact. Comes with MEARS plus additional LOA.

The following items were obtained from the players themselves by a former umpire who was an early collector of game worn material. He had displayed his items with small typed descriptions of the items so that all friends and visitors would know what they were looking at. Most of the items come with the original, vintage typed cards that were displayed with the items.
