He appeared alongside the likes of Joe DiMaggio, Phil Rizzuto, Bill Dickey, Tom Ferrick, Bob Feller, and Eddie Collins, Jr. during World War II All-Star Games. Al Brancato spent parts of four seasons with the Philadelphia Athletics between 1939 and 1945, with his career being interrupted by his military service. During his playing career, he wore this beautiful, vintage, royal-blue cap with "A" on the front while manning shortstop at Shibe Park. The interior leather band features a Spalding tag with "6 1/2 A. Brancato" embroidered inside. Shows heavy use.
