From the final season in a Hall of Fame career, this 1983 home white jersey was game worn by legendary backstop Johnny Bench. The doubleknit pullover home top is signed on front in black Sharpie right above Bench's number "5." Rawlings size 44 tag inside the front tail reads "Set 1 1983." Of course, jerseys were put through much more use before being retired in that era, and there is some staining across the front that could be a combination of tobacco juice, infield clay, and who knows what residue from being one of the most dependable every day catchers in baseball history. Still, the jersey comes with LOA for game use by Dave Grob at SGC, graded Superior (Highest grade). A classic just begging to be framed or otherwise displayed.
