Game-issued jersey from the player many consider to be the best of this generation. From the black-and-gold style worn only from 2002-06, this beautiful Alex Ovechkin sweater bears the bright embroidered capitol-dome-with-crossed-sticks crest across the chest, with Ovi's number "8" in gold tackle twill with white-and-blue trim on the shoulders. "OVECHKIN" is stitched to a black nameplate and the superstar has added a crisp signature in 8/10 Sharpie on his number below. Size 56 tag in collar and Cutting Edge Sports Set #4 2005-2006 tag inside tail and fight strap intact. It would be nice if we could call this game used but it does not show any use, so we are listing it as game issued; most likely a back-up or extra jersey but it is identical in every aspect to those he wore in competition. The '05-06 campaign was Ovechkin's first in his 15-year-and-counting career and he took the NHL by storm with 52 goals and 106 points as the easy winner of Rookie of the Year honors. Comes with PSA LOA.
