Capitalizing on Davy’s popularity, Topps produced two of the most memorable non-sport sets of the era - Davy Crockett orangebacks, and later greenbacks. Here we have high grade examples of each, as follows: Orangeback complete set of 80: 55% NM or better, 30% EX-MT, 15% slightly lesser. Card #1 is EX, slightly o/c, with light surface indentations. Greenback complete set of 80: 25% NM or better, 35% EX to EX-MT, 25% VG-EX, 15% slightly lesser. Card #1A is EX-MT save for the top right corner, nicely centered; cards #2A-8A average EX; card #20A is the error version, EX-MT m/c, with light tape/glue residue on the back. Two add’l examples of card #18 are included, as the orangebacks (normally with a grey background) also came with bright orange and cream-colored backgrounds. Both variations are included here.
