This remarkable photo is rich in history and features both Babe Ruth and Warren G. Harding. Taken at Yankee Stadium in April of 1923, this Type I photograph highlights the moment Babe Ruth was greeting the current President and shaking his hand emphatically.
Verso features a partial International Newsreel clipping that reads, "President Harding and Babe Ruth divided attention at the Yankee-Senator game. The President, who had gone to New York to address the publisher's convention, took time off long enough to see his home team trounced."
Believed to have been taken on either April 24th or 25th of 1923, the Yankees thoroughly beat the Senators both days after losing the first two of the four game series. 8x10" has some cracks and slight tears that have been repaired with tape but does not distract from the overall appearance too drastically. Also comes with professionally made frame and mat (no glass); PSA Type I LOA.
