From the 1930s through the mid-50s, Dixie Lids issued sets of movie and sports stars on their famous ice cream cup lids. In conjunction with the lids, Dixie also produced premiums, where 12 Dixie Lids could be traded in for one large picture of a chosen star. These large premiums were usually 8x10”, in full color, and had pre-punched holes for placing in a binder.
