In 1964 Topps decided to produce a hockey set that was larger in size and number than any of its previous issues. The set (affectionately referred to as "Tall Boys") consisted of 110 cards, with players representing all six NHL teams in existence at the time. The oversized cards made for a fun but challenging set to complete in high grade, and continues to be very popular to this day. Of the 11 cards considered "anchors" of the set, #12 Hall (EX+), #68 Plante (EX+), #71 Shack (VG-EX) and #94 Keon (EX+) are present here, as is one short-print: #91 Nesterenko (EX+). The first (VG, chips) and last (GD-VG) cards of the set are also present. The remainder of the cards grade 35% EX or better, 35% VG to VG-EX and 30% GD-VG, with one duplicate. With more than half the set present here, you’re well on your way to completion. Go for it! Total of 58 cards.
