Fascinating content in this circa 1921 8.5x11" unlined page from Harry Grabiner's diary. "Harry's Diary" is considered to be the Rosetta Stone of the Black Sox. Some of the handwritten pencil notations include references such as: Austrian [Comiskey's attorney] advises regarding Schalk - Landis; Austrian regarding $500 Veeck matter prices; Veeck did not go to meeting with Dreyfuss [Barney]; Report that normals signed McWeeny for $3500 Kerr $5000; Took matter up with Landis; Schalk was out 2/16 (unknown) a matter with Landis regarding donation of $50 each by Sox in 1917; Faber was down to see Landis 2/15; [James] Crusenberry did not know what the news of the leak was and nothing further has been done - the papers have dropped the matter; Ads on score book 1920 - $6615; McWeeny offered $450 wants $600; Falk offered $500 wants $3500 for season; and more.
