Here is an item featuring one of the main players involved in the Black Sox Scandal. A payroll check to Eddie Cicotte signed by owner Charles Comiskey. It has Cicotte's signature on the back and Comiskey's on the front. It is dated 7/14/1919 and paid to the order of EV Cicotte for $476.25. Cicotte won 29 games for the 1919 White Sox but lost two games in the World Series. He was one of the eight players banned from baseball after being accused of intentionally losing the World Series. This is a great, rare item from that infamous period in baseball history. It has three vertical folds along with a few staple holes. Authenticated and encapsulated by PSA/DNA.
