All taken through the lens of legendary photographer George Burke, these 11 shots measure 4x6" and feature St. Louis Cardinals of the early 1930s. 1) Pepper Martin (used for 1936 R312 card). 2) Frank Frisch. 3-4) Jesse Haines with Breadon (2). 5) Leo Durocher. 6) Sparky Adams. 7) Jimmie Wilson. 8) Ernest Orsatti. 9) Charles Gelbert. 10) Paul Derringer. 11) One unidentified. A total of seven (7) have the Burke stamp on back with two having his handwriting. Overall EX-MT condition with no creases, these photos are part of The Jesse Haines Collection, sourced from the family of the Hall of Fame pitcher.

Jesse Haines was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1970 as a member of the St. Louis Cardinals. His impact in baseball spanned far greater than his nineteen-year career and he even threw a no-hitter in 1924, a feat that would not be achieved by another Cardinals pitcher for 50 years. This collection includes Jesse’s Hall of Fame plaque, a team signed baseball by the 1924 Cardinals commemorating his no-hitter, early photographs, autographs and more. This collection of “fresh to market” material sources from Haines’ family and is now available to the public for the first time.
