1930's Japanese baseball game originates at that pivotal time and showcases a Menko-style catcher measuring 13.5" tall and 9.5" wide, crouching with his mitt extended in front of him. The object of the game is to throw a ball at that glove, and the center piece spins, allowing the ball to reach him. There is a net behind the center piece which serves as a backstop, as well as a wire easel, enabling the catcher to stand. The lot includes the original box lid, which displays some visible damage, but toy itself is EX with a few minor scratches. You will never see one this nice, let alone with the box top.
