Great assortment of WWI and movie-related strip & exhibit cards
Interesting group of movie-related and WWI collectibles, including:
- Approx. 1920’s 8 x 4 uncut sheet of Behn Meyer & Co. ‘Marca Carabao’ movie stars and starlets; nice condition except for 1” tear on the top which only lightly detracts from the overall appearance; - (5) 10-card strips of tobacco-sized cards, possibly released by various Hollywood production companies to encourage interest in the various stars of different studios. Included are Buster Keaton (Metro), Lionel Barrymore, Farina and Fatty Joe (Our Gang / Pathe), Mack Sennett actresses and other Warner, Paramount and Universal stars;
- Marquee vending/advertising strip of 3 Exhibit cards from their actor & actress series, high grade. This is the 8x12” (approx.) piece that appeared on the front of the dispensing/slot machines, where 2¢ would get you 1 card!
- Approx. 150 strip cards of famous persons (mostly military) playing important roles in the First World War. Cards are overall in VG condition, many being somewhat discolored.
A nice collection of WWI and movie-related ephemera!
