Johnny Vander Meer became the only pitcher in major league history to throw back-to-back no-hitters in 1938. For the first time since the notorious "Black Sox" series Cincinnati had returned to the World Series after taking home the NL Pennant. This extremely rare satin banner (17-1/4 x 26-1/2") has gold tassels at bottom, "National League Champions 1939" and the Reds logo applied in red felt.
