One of Bowman’s early forays into the world of non-sports, their ‘Wild West’ issue features some of the finest artwork of any Bowman production. The set is organized into eight separate series (A through H), each with a different theme relating to the Old West: "Winning the West," "Indian Costumes," "Famous Characters," "Indian Warfare," "Cowboy Life," "Law and Order," "River Days," and "Western Stars." The set, complete at 180 cards, grades at 6% EX or better, 58% VG to VG-EX, 31% GD-VG and 5% lesser; about 30 cards have creases. Approx. 70% of the duplicates grade FR-GD, a handful nicer, the remainder lesser; many have creases.
