Bowman’s initial entry into the world of baseball cards was in 1948, when they produced the 48-card set offered here. Complete with a good number of stars represented, including #5 Feller (EX+), 6 Berra (GD-VG), 8 Rizzuto (NM), 18 Spahn RC (EX+, crease), 36 Musial RC (VG-EX, light crease) and 38 Schoendienst RC (VG-EX, stain, mc). The remainder of the set grades as 10 EX, 22 VG to VG-EX (some with slight creases) and 10 slightly lesser. Nice, complete set of early Bowman that won’t cost you a fortune.
