This is the first number the Tigers retired. 2) Sept. 14, 1975 was Recognition Day at Tiger Stadium. 3) June 12, 1983 game at which they retired Hank Greenberg and Charlie Gehringer's numbers. 4) Aug, 12, 1973 which was Norm Cash Day.
