Perez-Steele Hall of Fame postcards, universally recognized as one of the most classic issues ever produced for autograph collectors, were originally issued in fifteen individual series between 1980 and 2001. With the exception of seven cards (featuring Hall of Fame Officials, Perez-Steele executives and a few non-ballplayers), only Baseball Hall of Fame members are included in the set. Each card was limited to a print run of 10,000 (this set is serial # 9348) and every card is individually numbered on the reverse. Of the 270 cards in the set, only 104 could possibly have been signed by Hall of Fame players (the balance of the players having passed away prior to the publication date) – and this collection includes the autographs of 70 of those immortals, including Williams, Berra, Musial, Aaron, Koufax, Mays, Banks, Spahn, Mathews, Bench, Jackson, Seaver, Gibson, Brooks and Frank Robinson, Killebrew, Carew, etc. – even Al Barlick (HOF umpire) and Lee MacPhail (HOF AL President, 1974-83). All signatures are on the obverse in blue Sharpie, and grade an overall "9/10".
