Personally sent by the Iron Horse to his friends and relatives in 1932. Gehrig was in mid-career in the winter of 1932, having hit .349, with 36 home runs and 151 RBI in the past season. Card is dated in someone's hand, "1932". Features a wooded scene with a substantial snowfall. Includes a segment of a poignant poem written by James Russell Lowell entitled "The First Snow Fall." The poem calls the snowfall as, "Ermine too dear for an Earl." Very Good condition.
