Beautiful Tony C. signature model Hillerich and Bradsby model K55. Conigliaro was a shooting star who briefly blazed away as a power hitting Boston Red Sox outfielder. He became the youngest player to ever lead the American League in home runs when he hit 32 at the age of only 20 in 1965. On August 18, 1967, at Fenway park, during the Red Sox "Impossible Dream" season, Tony C. was hit in the left cheekbone and suffered severe damage to his retina on a pitch by Jack Hamilton of the California Angels. Although he made a comeback in 1969, he was never the star player that he was before the injury, and later on his eyesight deteriorated, forcing his retirement. Uncracked, with light use. His number "25" in marker on the knob. Was given by Conigliaro to Boston sports cartoonist Eddie Germano. 35" length, 32 oz.
