Mike Merriweather was drafted in the 3rd round of the 1982 NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers and was elected to the Pro Bowl in three consecutive seasons 1984, 1985, and 1986. Directly from the Steelers Archive, this black jersey features number "57" across the front, back and both shoulders along with "Merriweather" sewn onto the nameplate in yellow. Year "85" tag, "Steelers" and size "50 Sand-Knit" tags can all be found on the on tail. This jersey is simply hammered with use and has 40+ team repairs along with the majority of threading on numbers being repaired during its life. Other signs of wear such as paint transfers, abrasions and loose numbers are noticed throughout entire jersey. Not only is this jersey "well-used", it has also been photo-matched to a December 13, 1986 game vs. the New York Jets. Comes with Steelers COA.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of Steelers Archives Jerseys will be donated to the Chuck Noll Foundation for Brain Injury Research.
