Superb find. Lance Alworth's personally owned AFL All-Time Team award from 1969, given to him from the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and recognizing him as one of the best players in AFL history. Alworth, who played wide receiver for the San Diego Chargers both in the AFL and the NFL, and for the Dallas Cowboys of the NFL, was the first player primarily from the AFL elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. In his career, he caught 542 passes for 10,266 yards and 85 touchdowns. Alworth stated that the highlight of his career consisted of a third-and-long catch, and then a subsequent touchdown catch in Super Bowl VI, when his Dallas Cowboys defeated the Miami Dolphins 24-3. This major award also lists such AFL greats at Joe Namath, Don Maynard, Jim Otto, George Blanda, Bobby Bell, Willie Brown and coach Weeb Ewbank. Measures approximately 9x11.5" and has some light overall wear and overall in very good condition.
