Beautiful Helms Olympic Foundation medal. Alex Hannum is in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame as a coach. As a top NBA coach, he directed 13 Hall of Fame professionals, including: Bob Petit, Wilt Chamberlain, and Rick Barry - each of whom was on a Hannum coached NBA championship team. Hannum attended Hamilton High School in Los Angeles, California, and this medal is for his play at that school. Engraved on back, in part, "Alex Hannum All City Forward. It is metal and gold-colored with raised lettering. The medal shows slight wear and there is a very minor dent of about 0.13 inches around the rim. Otherwise in excellent condition. Diameter is 2.25" and weighs 3.6 ounces.
