On offer here is a vintage early 1970s Rawlings salesman sample jersey, identified by the number font, absence of a name on the verso, and a hexagonal swatch in the collar with the uniform's design specs. A bunch of these sample jerseys were obtained and sold during the 70s by Building 19, an East Coast warehouse distributor of various products. The Nets flag motif is one of the most identifiable ABA uniform styles from the Me Decade. Meanwhile, Melchionni won a title with the Sixers in the NBA and two with the Nets in the ABA. A great display piece.
