Extremely rare proof with Batman joined by other DC covers: Enemy Ace, Girl Love, and Witching Hour. The Batman comic was the star in this proof. Batman first appeared in Detective Comics #27 in May 1939, and in the self-titled Batman comic in Spring 1940. Proof reads, "Topps Comic Cover Stickers With 1 Stick Bubble Gum." It sold for five cents. A charming sign of the times is the advertisement on the side of the wrapper that promises a free camera in exchange for sending 250 Bazooka Comics or ten comics and fifty cents to Bazooka. The art work is 4.5x5". Done in paper (8x8.5") with proof lines. Sans wax. The brilliant art work is done in bright primary, comic colors of red, yellow, and blue. Condition is NM.
