Great REAL PROOF of Don Larsen's perfect game, the 5th game in the 1956 World Series played at Yankee Stadium between the New York Yankees and the Brooklyn Dodgers. This isn't proof that Larsen pitched his gem. Everyone knows that. The printing of this PROOF (a mock-up) was a step in the process of printing World Series tickets. These "mock-ups" would been printed first, and they are RARE. What could be rarer than a World Series perfect game? Nothing. Don Larsen is the first and only man to ever pitch a perfect game in the World Series. Larsen shut-out the Brooklyn Dodgers 2-0 on only 97 pitches. Mickey Mantle hit a solo homer to give the Yankees their first run and Hank Bauer added the second run on an RBI single. When Dodger pinch-hitter Dale Mitchell took the 97th pitch, high and outside, home plate umpire Babe Pinelli called it a strike. Well, Larsen was perfect for 96 pitches, and Pinelli gave him help on the 97th. These proofs do have an $8.00 Lower Stand price indicated, but do not have section, box, or seat numbers. Not perforated. The Yankees took the Series and GAME 5 became an All-Time Classic. You can possess the PROOF.
