Manny Ramirez Boston Red Sox jersey from his American League batting championship year in 2002. Manny won by hitting .349, and he also hit 33 homers and drove in 107 runs. Not only is this jersey from a great Ramirez season, but it could also be a jersey in which "Manny might have been being Manny." Since being Manny was practically a full-time occupation for the Boston Red Sox outfielder, who knows? To call Ramirez an individualist who marched to the beat of his own drummer is to engage in gross understatement. At Fenway Park, Ramirez would go into the Green Monster left-field scoreboard during pauses in games to make a cell phone call or drink Gatorade. One time during a pitching change, he only emerged as his pitcher was already throwing the next pitch. Another time, Ramirez made a great catch near the outfield wall, high-fived a fan and then turned and threw out a runner who hadn't tagged up. But Ramirez could play. A .312 life-time batting average, 555 home runs, MLB 15th all-time, and 1,831 RBI, MLB 18th all-time. In this 2002 season, the Red Sox finished second and did not make the playoffs, but Ramirez would be their left fielder in 2004 when they won the World Series, the first time since 1918. Tags on tail read, "Authentic Russell Collection," "2002," "Size 52+2" extra length. Shows nice use.
