A one-of-a-kind Ruth signed baseball, the sphere originally contained nine Yankees signatures (including Babe Ruth, Joe Sewell, and Waite Hoyt) and the inscription "June 13, 1948" (the date of The Bambino's last appearance at Yankee Stadium) in The Sultan's own hand.
A few years ago the ball was presented to artist Yuri Liaboh (since deceased) and he rendered a wonderful portrait of Babe on the panel underneath Ruth's sweet spot autograph, which appears large, bold and untouched in 8/10 black fountain pen. The painting was then signed by the artist and the other signatures were painted over.
Comes with full LOAs from PSA/DNA and JSA which were issued before the signatures were removed and the ball was painted. A wonderful display piece.
