Great collection of silver dollars, particularly the sought-after Morgan silver dollars. From original collector. The Morgan silver dollar was named after George T. Morgan, the former United States Mint Assistant Engraver. Making its debut in 1878, the coin's outstanding design helped to make it an immediate hit. Coin collecting book dates from 1941 (5.75x7.5"). Has three cardboard "pages" with slots for nine silver dollars on each page. Binding separated between pages 1 and 2 of book. 1) Morgan silver dollars (16 total) include the following years: 1878 (first year issued), 1880, 1881, 1882, 1889 (3), 1890, 1900 (3), 1901, 1904 (last year issued until one-year resumption in 1921), 1921 (3). 2) Peace dollars (referring to World War I) were issued starting in 1921 and until 1928. They were issued again in 1934-35. This collection contains eight total). These Peace coins include: 1922 (3), 1923 (3), 1924, 1928. 3) Eisenhower silver dollars (three total) were issued between 1971 and 1978. Coins include the following years: 1971, 1972, 1976 (Bicentennial Coin). The 1880 Morgan has a tiny chip missing from the edge. Condition of the coins varies considerably. Poor to Excellent. Most of the coins up until 1904 show wear and age. The newer Peace Coins and the Eisenhower Silver Dollars are in better condition because of their newer age.
