The defining moment of the 1932 World Series was unquestionably Babe Ruth's "Called Shot," his last home run in postseason play. The historic blast was recorded in Game 3 and the Yankees closed out the series with a sweep in Game 4, both played at Wrigley Field in Chicago.
The ball on offer here is a ONL (Heydler) sphere signed by all four umpires (Klem, Dineem, Van Graflan, and Magerkuth) who worked the series, plus John McGraw who attended the games. As such, there is a fifty percent chance that this ball was signed at the "Called Shot" game at Wrigley.
The ball was treated with a light coat of shellac to protect the autographs, which are all legible to some degree, although some are more legible than others. Historic to say the least. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
