Original circa 1959 lobby sized card (11x14") signed by Patrick McGoohan, who played a supporting role in the movie. The movie was released in the United Kingdom under the title "Nor the Moon by Night", a Biblical reference. In an apparently condescending attempt to appeal to the presumed less erudite Americans, the title was changed to the more simplistic, and violence promising, "Elephant Gun" when the picture opened in the United States in 1959. In the movie, McGoohan plays Andrew Miller, a game warden, who is awaiting his pen pal, an Englishwoman played by Belinda Lee, to arrive in Africa and marry him. Instead, she falls for his brother, played by Michael Craig, also a game warden. Romance and danger ensue. McGoohan became a famous actor, appearing in movies, plays and television. If you are a Columbo fan, you will notice him in quite a few episodes. Photo is black and white, and is inscribed, "To Tom, All The Best, Patrick McGoohan". Inscription is in red ink, large and clearly written.
