Great find of classic boxing round cards were likely used in Madison Square Garden. There's a pretty, young woman holding up round cards at many fights, so the fight aficionados notice first the lady, then the round and the advertisement on the back of the card. This custom goes back many years. In fact, these round cards are so vintage that the phone number with an advertisement for "The Manhattan," a clothing store for men, on the reverse of one of the cards, is merely "684," just three digits. Hard cardboard (23.5x36"), white with black stenciled painted letters and numbers. The cards are for rounds 2, 3, 5, and 7, and each card has a different advertisement on verso. The cards show evidence of use, with wear at corners, scratches, scrapping, and some curvature in the cardboard.
