The first Negro League
postcard set by Ron Lewis was produced in 1991 to help fund the NLBPA. Building
on its success and popularity, Lewis created a second set in 1994. These
postcards are very colorful and attractive. This lot includes:
1991 Negro League Fine Arts
Card Set – This thirty-card set is signed by twenty-seven, including Hall of
Famers Willie Mays, Buck Leonard, Monte Irvin, and Leon Day. Others of note
include “Wild Bill” Wright, Ted “Double Duty” Radcliffe, and Bill “Ready” Cash.
Box (light toning) signed by artist Ron Lewis. Autographs are NRMT.
1991 Negro League Fine Arts
Card Set uncut sheet – This thirty-card sheet is signed by twenty-four,
including Hall of Famers Buck Leonard, Monte Irvin, and Leon Day. Others of
note include “Wild Bill” Wright, Ted “Double Duty” Radcliffe, and Bill “Ready”
Cash. Signed and numbered (“97/115 PP”) by the artist Ron Lewis. Measures
32x17.5” with very light toning on the back but the autographs are NRMT.
