This is a beauty. Wonderful "jugate" style pictures both fighters including one of the shining stars of the Golden Age of boxing in the 1950s: Gene Fullmer. Fight is on July 26 1955 at the Butte Civic Center in Butte, Montana. No wonder this is so rare, as it was a far away and not normally visited boxing site. Flannigan was an excellent fighter with 102 wins including the first 40 straight. Fullmer, the brawling middle weight champion even beat the great Sugar Ray Robinson, the man considered perhaps the greatest pound for pound fighter ever.
