This is the grand daddy of the basketball card sets.  The very first of its kind, issued by Bowman in 1948.  Lots of rookies and Hall of Famers.  This is a complete set (72/72) plus 29 extras including variations.  All of these cards were submitted to PSA and 32 have been graded by them.  The other 69 cards were deemed as having evidence of trimming.  The cards were submitted all together and none of those that were returned ungraded were re-submitted.  Of the cards that were assigned a numerical grade, most are from the first series.  #1 Calverley (PSA 5), #9 Phillip (PSA 6), #10 Davies (PSA 7 o/c), #32 Holtzman (PSA 6), #34 Fulks (PSA 6).  The following are key cards that were deemed as trimmed by PSA: #38 Jeanette (two color variations), #43 Halbert (two color variations), #46 McKinney (two color variations), #48 Sadowski (two color variations), #52 Simmons (two color variations), #54 Palmer (two), #55 Zaslofsky (two), #58 Risen (two color variations), #66 Pollard (two), #69 Mikan, #72 Brown (two color variations).  The cards are all very nice and display beautifully despite the fact that many have been rejected as being trimmed.  A chance to own one of the most popular of all the basketball sets at a fraction of the price of one that is on the registry.  Important to again note that 69 of these have been rejected by PSA with evidence of trimming and are being sold as such.
