In the hand of Joe Bihler, right-hand man to Ruth and his agent, Christy Walsh. Detail is fascinating on this unsigned copy. Living at Riverside Drive, there is a tipped in page payment for a Hartford Exhibition ($1,000), Colgate Tooth Paste ($250), Esquire baseball game at the Polo Grounds versus Ty Cobb ($562.50), and a Jockey Underwear testimonial was worth a neat $250. He graciously gave a total of $557 to the salvation Army, Red Cross and churches, and he wrote off $2,234.06 for necessary baseballs, photography and other items necessary for advertising. The IRS had earlier denied this deduction, but the Babe protested it and won. Babe Ruth hit 60 home runs, called his shot, and beat the IRS. From the estate of Joe Bihler, the right hand man of Babe Ruth's agent Christy Walsh and in turn Ruth himself.
