Marvelous folk art "Trophy Rudder" is from the monumental upset of the Westminster School beating their rival Eton in 1924. Westminster beating Eton was akin to David beating Goliath. Westminster was small compared to Eton where the members of the Royal Family attended. Thus, it is beautiful painted with the record of their triumph listing crew members, date, and their Coat of Arms. The paint is wonderfully alligatored from the years and nicely displayed on a wood platform stand to give it that "museum" look. Stands 13" tall and the flat piece of the rudder that is attached across the top giving it the appearance of a whale. A whale of a piece.
