Grover Cleveland Alexander was one of the greatest pitchers in his day, winning 30+ games three consecutive seasons from 1915-1917. This 6.5 x 8.5” Type 1 photo is a great image of Alexander smiling into the camera without a care in the world. His “weathered” appearance reminds us of some of the stories we’ve heard about his “vices.” Stamped “The Ring, Inc.” on the back along with “Grover Cleveland Alexander” and “Phil. Nat.” hand written in pencil. One repaired crease and a few pin holes but overall VG.
