Taken in Cleveland on 6/27/38 is this great type 1 photo of the "All-Star Team Mates", Jimmie Foxx and Earl Averill. Both recently selected to play in the upcoming All-Star Game, these to sluggers were photographed to promote the game as well as highlight their recent accomplishments. Averill was leading the American league with a .384 average while Foxx had 21 home runs so far that season. Nice up close 7 x 9" image with great contrast. VG.
