Rookie era Jimmie Foxx Type I photograph. Ex-Sporting News archive with their hologram. Foxx was only 18 in 1926, yet he played the full-season with The Philadelphia Athletics and hit. 327 in 101 plate appearances. He played mostly in the minors in 1925, and only appeared in ten Athletics games in 1925, with only 9 at-bats, so '26 was his first real MLB year. In the next season, he began playing regularly and was on his way to his Hall of Fame career.
