This pack of cards has remained unopened for two-thirds of a century. 1951 JGA11 Osato Gangu complete set. 48 Cards. Mini-cards (1.75x2.5") Contains the "Jackie Robinson" of Japanese baseball, Wally Yonamine, with his rookie card. Yonamine was a Nisei, a second generation Japanese and he was an American, from Hawaii. World War II had only ended six years earlier, and Yonamine, as the first American player to play professional baseball in Japan, encountered serious prejudice. He became a terrific star, had a .354 rookie season, was an 11 time All-Star and was elected to the Japanese Hall of Fame. Worth it for Yonamine's card alone. NRMT.
