Regal silver plate martini set presented in 1931 after their American Division Championship triumph. Sterling team was led by the inimitable Art Ross who was so important they named the darn trophy after him. Lead pitcher is beautifully engraved, "Presented To Walter Clarke, Big-Chief-Paleface "Breakem-Many-Bird by The Boston Bruins 1931." Interestingly, it is presented to Walter Clarke referring to him as the politically incorrect "Paleface". It is unknown who Clarke is but we are certain he liked to tip a few. Seriously, this set consisting of large 13" tall pitcher, 5 glasses and silver tray is by Meriden of Connecticut who were among the highest quality silversmiths of their time. Therefore, this set must have cost a bundle making Walter Clarke of import as the recipient of this silvery treasure.
